The AEROPLAST Plastic Assorted Dressings, Envelope of 20 is a wash proof sheer dressing for general use. Mixed shapes and sizes in one envelope — the sensible choice when you cannot predict what the wound will look like. What separates the plastic range from the fabric one is water: a sheer film sheds it, so the dressing survives handwashing and wet work that would lift a fabric strip. Part of the Aero wound dressings range.

Plastic Adhesive Dressing FAQs

Plastic or fabric plasters?

Plastic is a sheer washproof film — it sheds water and suits hands, kitchens and wet work. Fabric stretches and conforms, so it stays on knuckles, elbows and knees where a rigid film peels off. Most workplaces stock both rather than choosing.

What does the embossed wound pad actually do?

It drains blood and exudate away from the wound surface into pockets in the pad instead of holding it against the skin. That keeps the wound site cleaner between changes, and means the dressing can stay on longer.

Will it hurt to remove?

The pad has a non-adherent film over it, so the absorbent layer does not bond to the wound. The adhesive still grips the surrounding skin — peel slowly and along the direction of hair growth.

Are these suitable for food handling areas?

Not these. Food preparation needs a metal-detectable plaster in a high-visibility blue, so a lost dressing is both seen and detected. See the AEROPLAST detectable range for that.
