AEROWIPE Alcohol-Free Cleansing Wipes Box/2000
AEROWIPE Cleansing Wipes are a moist tissue carrying an aqueous solution of 1% cetrimide BP w/v and 0.02% chlorhexidine BP w/v, used to soothe and clean cuts and grazes and help prevent infection. The important part is what they leave out: being alcohol free, they have no fumes and none of the stinging that makes conventional alcohol wipes so unpopular — which matters a great deal when the patient is a child. The bulk box of 2000 is the volume format — for first aid rooms, clinics and anywhere wipes are used every day. Part of the Aero wound dressings range.

Alcohol-Free Cleansing Wipe FAQs
Why choose alcohol free?
Alcohol stings sharply on broken skin and gives off fumes. On a graze — and particularly on a child — that turns a simple clean-up into a fight. An alcohol-free antiseptic wipe does the same cleaning job without the reaction.
What do cetrimide and chlorhexidine do?
Both are antiseptics. Cetrimide is a surfactant that lifts dirt and debris from the wound surface; chlorhexidine is a broad antimicrobial. Together they clean and reduce the bacterial load.
Can these be used on surfaces?
They are formulated for skin. For benches and equipment, an isopropyl alcohol surface wipe is the right product — it is designed to disinfect a hard surface and evaporate cleanly.
Are they safe on children?
They are specifically the friendlier option for children because there is no sting and no fumes. As with any antiseptic, keep it out of eyes and stop if the skin reacts.
