QV Face Nurturing Night Cream, 50g. A rich cream with safflower oil and a triple moisturiser blend of occludents, emollients and humectants, to replenish moisture lost through the day.
Why a separate night cream
A day cream carries sunscreen and has to sit under makeup, so it is necessarily lighter. Overnight neither constraint applies, which lets a night cream be richer and stay put for eight hours without anyone minding how it feels.
Skin also loses more water overnight than during the day, so a heavier cream at night is addressing a real difference rather than a marketing one.
What the triple moisturiser blend means
Three mechanisms rather than one. Humectants draw water into the outer skin layer, emollients smooth and soften it, and occludents slow water escaping. A product using only one of the three tends to disappoint: humectants alone can leave skin no better off if there is nothing holding the water in.

A day cream has to carry sunscreen and sit under makeup, so it is lighter. Overnight those constraints disappear, and skin loses more water at night, so a richer cream is doing a real job.

Can I use it around my eyes?
