Is a crepe bandage the same as a compression bandage?
No, and the difference matters. A crepe bandage stretches, but stretch is not therapeutic compression. A compression bandage is a defined system with tested pressure performance, used under clinical direction for conditions such as venous disease. It is a support and retention bandage. How tight should it be?
Firm enough to support, never tight enough to restrict circulation.
