Why blue tape rather than standard tape?
Because in food handling the tape is as much a contamination risk as the dressing under it. Blue is instantly visible against food and against skin, so a loose piece is found. Skin-tone tape is designed to disappear, which is exactly wrong here.
Is the tape metal detectable too?
This tape is visually detectable by colour. If your site requires metal detection on every wound covering, check that requirement against the product specification and consider the metal detectable dressing range alongside it.
Why the individual plastic case?
A roll of tape rattling loose in a first aid kit picks up dust and grime on its exposed edge, and that edge is the part that touches skin. A case keeps the roll clean until it is used.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
