The CARDIACT CC-90 is a compact alarmed AED cabinet. The CC-90 is the compact, secure option, designed for confined spaces where a full-size cabinet will not fit. A transparent polycarbonate door keeps the AED visible and carries ANZCOR approved signage, and the cabinet is weatherproof against dust, rain, cold, rust and humidity. Does the cabinet include a defibrillator?
No. It houses an AED you already own or buy separately. That is the norm — cabinets are chosen to suit the location, while the AED is chosen on clinical and budget grounds.
Indoor or outdoor?
Indoor cabinets protect against dust and make the AED visible. Outdoor cabinets add weather sealing and usually heating or insulation, because AED pads and batteries degrade in temperature extremes. Never put an indoor cabinet outside.
What does the alarm achieve?
It sounds when the door opens. That deters interference and, more usefully, tells people nearby that a defibrillator has just been taken — which often means someone needs help right now.
Why would I want a monitored or connected cabinet?
Because an unmonitored public AED can sit missing or unsealed for weeks before anyone notices. Connectivity reports status so the unit is confirmed ready without a physical inspection.
