AEROPAD Non-Adherent Eye Pads are sterile, individually wrapped eye pads using SupaSorb technology, supplied in a box of 50. The non-adherent film on both faces of the pad is the point: an eye pad that sticks to a weeping or bleeding injury causes trauma when it is lifted, and the eye is the last place you want that. At 5.5 x 7.7cm the pad covers the orbit fully, and a box of 50 is the bulk format for clinics, workplaces and first aid rooms rather than single-use carry.

Non-Adherent Eye Pad FAQs

What does non-adherent actually mean?

The pad has a film on each face that stops the absorbent core bonding to the wound surface as it dries. When the dressing is changed, the pad lifts away instead of pulling at newly formed tissue — less pain for the patient and less disruption to healing.

Should both eyes be covered after an eye injury?

Sometimes. Because the eyes move together, covering only the injured eye can still leave it moving as the other eye tracks around. Follow the advice of the treating clinician or your first aid training for the specific injury.

Can an eye pad be used on other wounds?

Yes. It is a low-adherent absorbent pad and works well on cuts, grazes and minor burns where a non-stick surface matters. The shape is simply optimised for the orbit.

Why buy a box of 50 rather than singles?

Bulk boxes are for restocking — clinics, first aid rooms and workplaces refilling multiple kits. Individually wrapped singles are the format for a personal or vehicle kit where only one or two are carried.
