Syringe 60ml Catheter Tip Singles
A 60ml catheter tip syringe, supplied as singles. The wide, tapered tip is designed to connect to catheters and feeding tubes rather than to a needle, which is the whole distinction from a standard luer syringe.
What a catheter tip syringe is for
Bladder irrigation and catheter flushing, enteral feeding and flushing a feeding tube, wound irrigation where volume matters more than pressure, and drawing up or measuring larger volumes of fluid. The 60ml capacity is the practical size for all of those; smaller syringes turn one action into six.
The tip is the point. It is stepped and tapered to push-fit into tubing, so it seals against a catheter or feeding tube without an adapter, and it deliberately will not take a needle.
Why singles rather than a bulk bag
Individually packed units stay sterile until the moment of use and let you take exactly one to a bedside. For intermittent procedures, that beats opening a bulk pack and having the remainder sit partly exposed in a store room.
Browse medical supplies, or see first aid supplies for irrigation fluids and dressings.
Single use and disposal
These are single-use devices. Do not clean and reuse them: the barrel cannot be reliably decontaminated, and reuse across patients is a recognised infection-control failure. Dispose of used syringes per your facility’s clinical waste procedure.

Catheter tip syringe FAQs
What is a catheter tip syringe used for?
Flushing and irrigating catheters, enteral feeding and flushing feeding tubes, and irrigating wounds with volume. The tapered tip push-fits into tubing without an adapter.
Can I put a needle on it?
No. The tip is not a luer fitting and will not accept a needle. That is deliberate: keeping enteral and irrigation syringes physically incompatible with needles prevents a serious category of medication error.
How is it different from a luer syringe?
The tip. A luer syringe has a narrow fitting that locks or slips onto a needle or luer device. A catheter tip is wider and tapered to seal inside tubing. They are not interchangeable.
Is it sterile?
Each is supplied individually wrapped, so each stays sterile until the wrapper is opened. Take one to the point of use rather than opening several in advance.
Can it be washed and reused?
No. It is single use. The barrel cannot be reliably decontaminated, and reusing one is a recognised infection-control failure. Dispose of it per your clinical waste procedure.
Will it fit our enteral connectors?
Check before ordering. Some settings have moved to dedicated enteral connector standards such as ENFit, which are intentionally not compatible with a traditional catheter tip. Confirm what your facility uses.
