When to use a combine dressing this size

Size selection is about absorbency and coverage, not just fit. A 10 x 10cm pad is right for a contained wound; a 20 x 91cm dressing is for the situations where you need to cover a limb-length area, pack a large wound, or absorb a volume that would saturate anything smaller. In trauma and burns work the extra length also lets the dressing be folded to build depth over a specific point while still covering the surrounding area. Secure it with a conforming or crepe bandage - it is an absorbent pad, not a self-adhesive one.
