Using an eye dropper safely

Wash your hands, tilt the head back and pull the lower lid down to form a small pocket, then squeeze a single drop into that pocket rather than directly onto the eyeball. Do not let the tip touch the eye, the eyelid or the lashes - that is how a dropper becomes contaminated and carries infection back into the bottle. Blink gently rather than squeezing the eye shut.
