What QV Cream is
A rich, protective moisturising cream that replenishes skin and hydrates dry areas. It contains squalene, a component naturally present in the skin’s own oil, which is part of why it sits well on skin that reacts to heavier occlusive products.
The areas it is bought for are the stubborn ones: elbows, knees, hands, heels, and anywhere that stays dry no matter what else is used.
Applying it so it works
Apply within a few minutes of patting dry after a shower, while the skin is still slightly damp. That traps water the skin has just absorbed, and it is the single biggest difference between a moisturiser working and not working.
Use warm rather than hot water when washing. Heat strips the skin’s own lipids faster than any cleanser, and undoes the moisturising you did that morning.
Fragrance free, colour free and lanolin free, which matters if those are what have irritated you before. Low irritant is not the same as guaranteed for everyone: patch test on a small area if your skin reacts easily.
When dry skin is more than dry skin
Skin that cracks, weeps, bleeds or itches intensely, or that does not improve with consistent moisturising, may be eczema or another condition needing treatment rather than a richer cream. Skin that is red, hot and spreading may be infected and needs prompt review.

What is the difference between the 100g and the 1kg?
Only the amount and the packaging. Identical cream. The 100g tube is for carrying; the 1kg tub is for daily whole-body use and is far better value per gram.
What does squalene do?
Squalene occurs naturally in the skin’s own oil. Including it helps the cream sit comfortably on skin that reacts to heavier occlusive products.
When should I apply it?
