How does it get cold without a freezer?
Squeezing the pack breaks an internal pouch and the chemicals mix, absorbing heat as they react. It is that reaction, not stored cold, that chills the pack — which is why it works in a hot vehicle.
How long does it stay cold?
Long enough for a standard cold application, roughly 15 to 20 minutes, then it warms and is finished. Single use by design: once the reaction is spent, the pack cannot be recharged.
80g or 240g?
The 80g pack is compact for personal and vehicle kits and suits fingers, wrists and small knocks. The 240g covers a larger area such as a knee or ankle. Sports kits usually carry both.
Can it go straight on the skin?
No — wrap it in a cloth. Direct contact with any cold pack can cause an ice burn, and on a numbed area the damage is done before it is felt.
