The AEROFORM Adult Leg Tubular Bandage is an elastic tube pulled over the limb rather than wrapped around it — 8.5cm x 1M, size E, for adult legs. Because there is nothing to wind or clip, it applies evenly and stays put on parts a wrapped bandage slides off.

Why choose the Adult Leg Tubular Bandage?

The case for a Adult Leg Tubular Bandage over a wrapped bandage is consistency. Wrapping introduces uneven tension, bunching and the risk of over-tightening; a tube applies the same light support along its length every time, applied by anyone.

This is the 1M length: a single ready-to-use application, sized for a first aid kit. Where a clinic gets through them regularly, the 1M roll cut to length works out cheaper per use.

Size to the body part, not by eye — size E is intended for adult legs. Too small compresses uncomfortably and too large slides off. Note this is a retention and light-support bandage, not a compression garment and not a substitute for a pressure immobilisation bandage. Browse the Aero bandages.

Adult Leg Tubular Bandage FAQs

What is a tubular bandage used for?

It is a stretch tube pulled over a limb or digit to retain a dressing or give light support, without wrapping. That is its advantage: no winding, no clips, no uneven tension, and it stays put on a part that a wrapped bandage slides off.

Is a tubular bandage a compression garment?

No. It provides light support and dressing retention. It does not deliver a defined or graduated pressure, and it should not be treated as a medical compression garment unless a manufacturer specifies a pressure for that product.

Can it be used for a snake bite?

No — do not substitute it for a pressure immobilisation bandage. A tubular bandage may not give the required width, length or controlled even pressure, and is difficult to apply properly in an emergency. Call 000 and use a purpose-designed snake bite bandage.

Which size do I need?

Size by body part, not by guesswork: Size A for newborns, B for small limbs, C for adult limbs, D for large limbs, E for adult legs and F for large legs, with a separate finger size. Too small compresses uncomfortably; too large will not stay put.

1M length or the 10M roll?

A 1M length is a single application, ready to use. A 10M roll is cut to length as needed and is the economical choice for a clinic or first aid room getting through them regularly. Same bandage, different buying unit.
