AEROPLAST Kinesiology Tape is a highly flexible elastic tape that adheres closely to the skin and moves with it. Unlike rigid strapping, which is there to stop a joint moving, kinesiology tape is designed to be worn through movement — it lifts the skin very slightly away from the tissue beneath, which is the mechanism behind the reported relief of pressure on injured muscles. 5cm x 5M, box of 12. Part of the sports tapes and strapping range.

Kinesiology Tape FAQs

Kinesiology tape or rigid strapping?

They do opposite jobs. Kinesiology tape is elastic and is meant to be worn while you move — it supports without restricting. Rigid tape is non-elastic and exists to stop a joint moving through a range that would re-injure it. Choosing the wrong one undermines the treatment.

How long can it stay on?

It is designed for multi-day wear, including through showering, which is why the adhesive is engineered the way it is. Remove it if the skin underneath becomes irritated, and never re-apply over broken or inflamed skin.

Does it need to be applied a particular way?

Yes — direction and stretch tension are what determine the effect, and they differ by muscle group and by goal. This is a product worth being shown how to use by a physio before self-applying.

Is it latex free?

Yes. The SupaBond adhesive contains no natural rubber latex, so there is no latex allergy risk — relevant given how long the tape stays in contact with skin.
