AERORESCUE Thermal Blanket 140 x 210cm - Bulk Bag of 100
This is the bulk bag of 100 AERORESCUE thermal emergency blankets from Aero Healthcare, each 140cm x 210cm (55in x 83in). The pack labels them for shock or hypothermia, and says each blanket reflects up to 80% of body heat and protects against excessive heat or cold. Each is a thin reflective foil sheet that folds to a small flat pack, marked single use. The bag of 100 is for organisations that assemble or restock many first aid kits: event medical teams, schools, councils, mine sites and first aid kit suppliers.

How a thermal blanket helps
A thermal blanket doesn’t make heat; it reduces heat loss. The reflective film bounces body heat back towards the casualty, which is why the pack labels it for shock or hypothermia, for example after cold water, wet weather or a long wait for help. Wrap it around the casualty, cover the head while leaving the face clear, and if they are lying on cold ground, put something insulating underneath them as well.
What it does not replace
Hypothermia is a medical emergency, so call 000. healthdirect advises moving the person somewhere warm and dry, removing wet clothing and warming the core gently with blankets, and avoiding direct heat, hot baths and vigorous rubbing. healthdirect also advises lying the person down and keeping movement to a minimum. Keep checking their breathing and response while they are wrapped, and give warm drinks only if they are fully alert. A thermal blanket is one part of that care, not a treatment on its own. Our guide to hypothermia signs, symptoms and first aid explains the steps in full.
Bulk bag or single blanket?
This bag of 100 suits organisations restocking many kits, since each blanket is replaced after use. If you only need one or two for a car, boat or home kit, choose the single emergency blanket instead. Store the bag somewhere dry and out of direct sunlight, and fold a blanket into each kit, vehicle and remote-area pack so it is there when someone needs it.
Thermal Blanket FAQs
How does a thermal blanket work?
It reflects body heat back towards the casualty, reducing heat loss. It adds no heat of its own, so it works best wrapped closely around a person who is dry and insulated from cold ground.
Do thermal blankets work?
Yes, as a way to slow heat loss. The pack says it reflects up to 80% of body heat. It is a first aid aid, not a substitute for getting a person with hypothermia to medical care.
Are thermal blankets reusable?
No. These are marked single use, so replace each one after it has been used.
Which side goes on the inside?
The pack does not specify a side, so wrap it closely around the casualty and focus on covering the body and head (not the face) and stopping wind getting underneath.
Do thermal blankets expire?
No expiry date is listed. Store the bag dry and out of direct sunlight, and replace any blanket that is torn or damaged.
Can it be used for shock?
Yes. The pack labels it for shock or hypothermia. Keeping a person in shock warm is part of first aid while you wait for help; call 000 for shock.
