Being pH-balanced matters more in conditioner than most people realise. Hair and scalp sit at a mildly acidic pH; products that drift alkaline leave the cuticle raised, which is what makes hair feel rough and a scalp feel tight. Matching the pH is how it smooths the hair while leaving a sensitive scalp alone.
It uses glycerin and panthenol to draw and hold moisture, with behentrimonium methosulfate as the conditioning agent - which, despite the name, is a gentle conditioner rather than a harsh sulfate detergent. QV Gentle Conditioner also has a genuine dwell time: leave it 1 minute for normal conditioning, or at least 5 minutes for more intensive conditioning, then rinse well.
