HEARTSINE Trainer Defibrillator Replacement Charger
A replacement Trainer Defibrillator Charger for the HeartSine samaritan PAD trainer. A trainer that will not power up is a cancelled practical session, and the charger is the part most easily lost between venues — it travels separately from the unit and rarely comes back in the same bag.
Why choose the Trainer Defibrillator Charger?
The honest reason to keep a spare Trainer Defibrillator Charger is logistics, not failure. Training kit moves between sites, gets packed by whoever finishes last, and the charger is the small loose item that goes missing. A spare costs a fraction of a rescheduled course.
It powers the trainer only. A trainer defibrillator holds no therapy circuit, so this charger has no role with a live AED — live units use sealed batteries or a Pad-Pak with a defined service life instead.
Order it alongside trainer pads as part of a standing consumables list, so the trainer is always course-ready. See the full trainer defibrillator accessories.

Trainer Defibrillator Charger FAQs
Does a HeartSine trainer deliver a shock?
No. It cannot and does not deliver any shock at all. A trainer runs the same voice prompts, the same rhythm-analysis pauses and the same CPR intervals as the live unit, but there is no defibrillation circuit inside it. That is precisely why it is safe to hand to a room full of trainees.
Can trainer pads or a trainer Pad-Pak be used in a real emergency?
Never. Training consumables contain no functioning electrode gel circuit and will not deliver therapy. Store training equipment separately from live AEDs so the two can never be confused when someone is reaching in a hurry.
Which trainer remote suits my unit?
The remotes are model-specific: the 350P remote drives the 350P trainer, the 500P remote the 500P, and the 360P remote the 360P. They are not interchangeable, so order the remote that matches the trainer you already own.
Is it suitable for RTO and workplace first aid courses?
It is built for exactly that — familiarising lay rescuers with how an AED behaves before they ever meet a real one. Whether it satisfies a specific accredited unit of competency is a question for your training package, so confirm against your own course requirements.
What does the trainer actually teach?
Sequence and confidence. Trainees learn where the pads go, what the prompts sound like, when to stand clear and when to resume compressions — so that in a real arrest the device is familiar rather than intimidating. Pair it with the DRSABCD action plan and the chain of survival.
