Blade compatibility and the ASTM F965 standard
The set conforms to ASTM F965, the fibre optic hook-on fitting standard. In practice that means the blades will mount on any other ASTM F965 fibre optic handle, and other compliant blades will mount on this handle. If you already run fibre optic laryngoscopes and are adding capacity or replacing a lost blade, check that standard on what you own and the parts will interchange.
Fibre optic and conventional blades are not interchangeable. A conventional blade carries the bulb on the blade itself; a fibre optic blade carries a light pipe and takes its light from the handle. They use different fittings and mixing them will not work. Confirm which system your service standardised on before ordering.

Blade size is matched to the patient, not to a number on a chart, and the general principle is that the blade should reach from the incisors to the angle of the jaw. The four sizes here span infant through to large adult, which is why a full set is the sensible purchase for any service that does not know who is coming through the door.

Cleaning and sterilisation
The stainless steel construction is autoclavable to 134 degrees. Follow your own service's reprocessing policy for the full cycle: blades are handled between patients and are a recognised cross-contamination route, so cleaning before sterilising matters as much as the autoclave step. Handles are generally cleaned rather than autoclaved unless the manufacturer states otherwise, and batteries come out first.
