Aeroplast Blue Extension Finger Dressing (50) 2 x 16cm

Aeroplast Detectable finger extension plasters are detectable finger dressing strips measuring 2 x 16cm - long enough to wrap a finger and extend onto the hand. They are metal detectable and visually detectable, washproof, breathable, hypo-allergenic and carry an enhanced adhesive.

Why choose a detectable finger dressing

Fingers take most of the injuries in food handling and processing, and they are the hardest place to keep a dressing attached - constant flexing, constant washing, and gloves being pulled on and off over the top. A detectable finger dressing at 16cm wraps the finger and continues onto the hand, so the anchor is on skin that does not bend.

The enhanced adhesive is not a marketing line, it is the response to that specific problem. A standard plaster on a wet, flexing finger lifts within an hour, and a lifted dressing in a food area is a contamination event waiting to be recorded. Being washproof addresses the other half - hands in this sector are washed constantly.

It carries both forms of detection: bright blue so a detached dressing is visible against product or equipment, and metal detectable so inline detection catches it if it is missed by eye. It is also breathable and hypo-allergenic, which matters when a dressing is worn all shift under a glove.
