The METTAG MT-137i is the training version of the original MT-137 medical emergency triage tag. Printed on recyclable card stock, it carries the same standard graphic symbols and four-colour tear-off triaging system as the field tag, at a fraction of the cost - so teams can train often without using synthetic field stock.
Best for: emergency services, CERT teams and workplace first aid trainers running repeat mass casualty incident (MCI) triage drills.
- Pack of 50 training tags
- Recyclable card stock - for training exercises only
- Standard graphic symbols, four-colour tear-off triaging system
- Pre-strung with 30 inch elastic for attaching to the casualty
- Barcodes are non-functioning on training tags
- Made in the USA by TACDA / METTAG
For field use, see the synthetic METTAG MT-137 Disaster Triage Tags (50).
Common questions
Can training tags be used in a real incident?
They are designed for training only - card stock is not liquid-proof and the barcodes are non-functioning. For live incidents use the synthetic MT-137 field tag.
How is the MT-137i different from the MT-137?
The MT-137i is printed on recyclable card stock with non-functioning barcodes, at roughly half the price. The MT-137 is liquid-proof synthetic for field use. The layouts match, so training transfers directly to the field tag.
What is START triage?
START stands for Simple Triage And Rapid Treatment - a method first responders use to classify casualties in about 60 seconds using breathing, circulation and mental status checks, marking each casualty with a colour-coded priority.
